Nabarangpur: The inauguration ceremony of the newly constructed Maa Mangala Temple at Nuaguda in Dabugaon block of Nabarangpur district has concluded. On Saturday, various religious rituals such as Surya Puja (sun worship), Go Puja (cow worship), Mandala rituals, Maha Snan (ceremonial bathing), Dhanyabas Shayanabas, Nyasang Homa, and the idol consecration (Prana Pratistha) were performed.

As part of the ceremonial chariot procession, the goddess’s chariot and that of her consort Deepa were taken around. The main priest Yamini Kanta Mahapatra, along with Rajanikant Nanda and Mukeshwar Patra, conducted the rituals. Shishir Patra and Hrushikesh Patra assisted in the proceedings. During the Maha Snan festival, Maa Mangala was bathed with fragrant water, followed by worship and the consecration of life into the idol (Prana Pratistha).

Renowned preacher from Kalahandi, Vyasa Krushna Chandra Mahapatra, delivered a spiritual discourse. Local police officer Chandra Sekhar Hajara, the officer-in-charge of Dabugaon police station, performed devotional Jagannath bhajans.

The Maa Mangala Puja Committee played a key role in organizing the event. Committee Chairman Pati Gedu Pati Pattnaik, Vice-Chairman Jitendra Majhi, Secretary Pradeep Padhi, Joint Secretary P. Subuddhi Rao, Treasurer Kameshwar Rao, and several local youth leaders including Shridhar Bishoyi, Sanjay Satapathy, Dullabh Gouda, Pindu Paricha, Ramesh Pattnaik, Ram Jena, Raghu Bishoyi, Ganesh Bishoyi, and Kuna Bhatt actively contributed to the successful conduct of the celebration.
