Jeypore, 23rd Sept 2025: The Maa Budhi Thakurani Football Tournament has been inaugurated at Bada Kaudi village, located under Dhanpur Gram Panchayat in Jeypore Block, Koraput district.
The inaugural match was held between Ekampa and Borigumma, in which Ekampa team emerged victorious with a score of 5–4. The second match took place between Dangara and Makaput teams, where Dangara team won 2–0.
In today’s opening ceremony, the chief guest was Shri Balibhadra Gadaba, the Sarpanch of Dhanpur Gram Panchayat, and youth leader Gabriel Anka graced the event as the guest of honour.
The matches were officiated by referees Braja Nag, Atish Mishra, and Shantanu Behera. The tournament was organized by Sunil, Dhanapati, Rajesh, Bijay, Ramesh, Dibakar, Guru, Kalia, and Pradeep.
