Nandahandi,14th Aug 2025: The old Indravati road near Daivata village in Sindhiguda Panchayat of Nandahandi block is currently in a dilapidated condition. A stretch of more than two kilometers has deteriorated badly. Moreover, there is no proper drainage system, causing water to stagnate on the road during rains.
On the other hand, the cremation ground has been without lighting for many days.
After Nabarangpur MLA Gaurishankar Majhi learned about these problems, he personally visited the cremation ground area along with Nandahandi BDO Kshirod Chandra Sahu, the Municipality Executive Officer, Sindhiguda Sarpanch Kavita Bhatra, PEO Utkal Bhatra, and local social worker youth Kahnu Dash.
After inspecting the site, the MLA instructed the BDO and municipal authorities to urgently arrange for road repair, drainage, and lighting.
Following this, the Nandahandi Block administration immediately laid crusher dust on the road today. Other works will be included under various government schemes and implemented in the coming days, officials stated.
