Dabugaon, 25th Aug 2025: To ensure public safety during lightning strikes and to spread awareness on precautionary measures, a Lightning Awareness Campaign Vehicle was launched on Saturday at 11 a.m. from the Dabugaon Block Office in Nabarangpur district. The initiative was formally flagged off by Block Development Officer (BDO) Sarat Majhi.
The awareness vehicle will tour across all panchayats and villages of the block, educating people on how to stay safe during lightning incidents and how to help others remain protected. It will spread safety messages, precautionary guidelines, and awareness about reducing lightning-related deaths.
Officials present on the occasion included Padmanabh Bhalla (Gram Panchayat Development Officer), Jatin Panigrahi (Block Social Security Officer), A.D. Prasad (Panchayat Executive Officer), CP Prabin Pattnayak, along with other staff members.
