Level 5(A) Teachers’ Organization Submits Demand Letter to BEO for Better Conditions

Nabarangpur: As per the call of the Integrated Primary Teachers’ Organization (IPTO), the Level 5(A) Primary Teachers’ Association of Tentulikhunti Block, Nabarangpur district, submitted a two-point demand letter addressed to the Chief Minister through Additional Group Education Officer Mohan Madhusudan Bagh.

The demands include:

1. Increasing the grade pay of primary teachers to ₹4200 as per the National Education Policy.

2. Merging the contractual service period of 6 and 8 years into regular employment, including increments.

The demand letter also states that if these demands are not met by the 17th, all teachers will participate in a protest in Bhubaneswar from the 18th, following IPTO’s call.

During the submission of the demand letter, Braj Sagarika, Simanchal Pujari, Madhusmita Dash, Sanjit Mohanty, Gobardhan Pradhan, and others were present.

After receiving the letter, Education Officer Mr. Bagh conveyed a positive response regarding the government’s actions to the teachers. Senior clerk of the block office, Devendra Prasad Nayak, was also present.
