Umerkote,12th Aug 2025: On the occasion of Independence Day, a friendly football match was held on Sunday at the Dongriguda UP School No. 3 playground in Umerkote between the Lawyers’ Association XI and the Tahasil XI teams. In the match, the Lawyers’ Association XI defeated the Tahasil XI by 3–2 goals.
The Lawyers’ Association team was captained by Ashok Kumar Padhi, with Ram Nayak as vice-captain. For the Tahasil XI, captain Megaban Bag and vice-captain Additional Tahasildar Nilambar Pujari led the team.
Team manager for the Lawyers’ Association was Shrinivas Pattnayak, with Prashant Kumar Sahu, coach Santanu Kumar Bahinipati, and advisors Jhadeshwar Mohanty, Santosh Sahu, Ravi Pattnayak, and Yudhishthir Dalai. They all played a key role in encouraging the players and contributing to the team’s victory.
