Dashapalla, Dec, 10: On National Highway 57 connecting Khordha and Balangir, Dashapalla lies 123 kilometers from Bhubaneswar. Dashapalla has an ancient history. Many legends are linked to this place, and attractions such as the Deobhanga royal palace, Shri Mahavir Temple, Khol Mahavir, Jagannath Temple, Bhimara Hills, Deer Park, Kuaniaria Water Reservoir, and the Takara Pakha Ragand Waterfall always draw tourists.
Every year, tourists look forward to visiting Dashapalla starting from December. Although they visit throughout the year, coming in December gives a unique experience. After travelling across different spots, finishing the day by relaxing and eating lunch near Kuaniaria is an unmatched joy. On some days, 25 to 30 groups come in buses and cars just to find a moment of happiness.
However, Kuaniaria now lacks proper lighting, water facilities, and security arrangements. When tourists arrive, they blame the government’s negligence. Various incidents and accidents occur from time to time. Hence, the public demands that the government take necessary steps and make proper arrangements in this regard.
