Kotpad, Dec, 16: A social worker and distinguished football player from the Kotpad region, Sheshananda Shatrushalya, a recognized referee of the State Football Association, passed away at the age of 92. Due to age-related health issues, he breathed his last at his residence.

The late Shatrushalya played for the Kotpad-E team during the 1980s and gained considerable fame at both district and state levels. He was also well-known as a recognized referee of the State Football Association, having officiated numerous football tournaments at district and state levels over many years.

He was a remarkable individual in the Kotpad region, setting an example through his social service. His passing has cast a shadow of mourning over the Kotpad area.

In honor of his demise, former Minister Padmini Dian, Kotpad MLA Rupu Bhatra, former MLA Chandra Sekhar Majhi, NSC President Shankar Rao, Block President Kamala Bhatra, Vice President Tapan Panigrahi, Press Club President Pankaj Kumar Patra, Pradeep Baksi, and Ganesh Chandra Panda, President of Gopabandhu Library, along with former football players and well-wishers, paid their respects and expressed their condolences.
