Kotpad Notified Area Council Sees Entire Ward Tour by “Vikas Rath” for Public Outreach

Kotpad: Under the initiative of the Kotpad Notified Area Council, the Vikas Vahan Rath (Development Chariot) program, which began recently, has completed its journey across all wards—from Ward No. 1 to Ward No. 13. The Rath travelled through public squares and visited households, spreading awareness about various government schemes and development works.

The event was conducted under the leadership of Executive Officer Kamalesh Mahant, Council Chairperson M. Shankar Rao, Vice-Chairperson M. Santoshi, all ward members, Treasurer Prashant Kachim, Head Clerk Gopi Majhi, K. Ramesh, and Rajesh Chetty, along with active participation from Swachhata Sathis (sanitation volunteers), Anganwadi workers, ASHA workers, and members of SHG (Self-Help Groups). All staff of Kotpad NAC (Notified Area Council) were present.

On the occasion of the first anniversary of the current government, this campaign showcased various development works and highlighted key government schemes. The Vikas Rath went door to door across wards, informing eligible beneficiaries about BJP-led schemes, engaging in discussions with them, and distributing informative booklets on different schemes.

The initiative aimed to raise awareness among the residents about the successful implementation of government schemes. Through this effort, locals were informed about the benefits they could receive and how to avail themselves of these services.

The event witnessed full participation and support from ward members, SHG women, and volunteers like Gopi Majhi, Rajesh Chetty, and K. Ramesh.
