Kotpad, Nov 28:  The Saptashakti Sangama programme was held on Sunday afternoon at Saraswati Shishu Vidya Mandir, Kotpad. Hundreds of women, including the school’s mothers’ committee members and women from across the town, participated in the event.

The chief guest and keynote speaker was Sukanti Prabha, Odia Lecturer of Vikram Deb University, Jeypore. Namita Bhadra, a respected teacher, attended as the guest of honour.

The programme began with lamp lighting by managing committee member and teacher Manaswini Choudhury, followed by an introductory welcome song. Acharya Dharitri Panda, Head of South Zone Science Department, welcomed the guests and introduced them.

Girija Mohanty, Head of the Kindergarten Department, explained the purpose of the programme. Sumitra Swain, Literature Coordinator, delivered a speech on the role of women in national development.

The chief guest spoke on family enlightenment and women’s role in environmental protection, while the guest of honour highlighted women’s role in the Bhagavad Gita and the concept of Saptashakti.

Acharya Shipra Jagadeb administered the pledge.
A quiz competition based on Indian student culture was conducted by Acharya Smita Mandal and Suman Bisoi. There was also a role presentation by participants dressed as the Seven Divine Powers (Saptashakti), along with group song performances.

The programme saw active participation and support from teachers Malati Biswal, Sasmita Pattnaik, Jharana Malik, Sasmita Biswal, Kiranbala Mishra, Rashmita Pradhan, Anisha Bisoi, Kavita Jena, Mamata Sahu, Gitanjali Mishra, Rashmi Pradhan, Divya Pattnaik, Avantika Adhikari, Sonali Nayak, and caregivers Subhasini Swain and Subhadra Majhi.

The event was organized under the direct supervision of Principal Vinay Kumar Munda, along with Acharyas Santosh Das, Bijaya Bisoi, Narendra Mohanty, Kahnu Charan Pradhan, and Santosh Paikaray.
