Kotpad: While Utkal Dibasa was being celebrated across Odisha today, the occasion was also observed at the Kotpad Community Health Center with great enthusiasm. As part of a special effort, April 1 – Utkal Dibasa was celebrated with grandeur. The event was organized under the chairmanship of Ranjit Kumar Das, the Community Health Officer, and the supervision of Narisinha Sahu.
April 1 holds significant importance as it marks the recognition of Utkal Dibasa, a day of pride and glory for the people of Odisha. Notably, due to the dedicated efforts of Odisha’s great leaders, on April 1, 1936, Odisha was officially recognized as a separate province, securing its distinct place on the map of India. To honor Odisha’s rich culture, language, traditions, and heritage, April 1 was declared as Utkal Dibasa and a state holiday.
In this context, all health officers, staff nurses, and healthcare workers at the Kotpad Community Health Center participated in the celebration wearing traditional Odia attire and new clothes. The event showcased the rich Odia culture and traditions, making it a memorable and respectful celebration of Utkal Dibasa.
