Kotpad ,12th Aug 2025: The sacred festival of Raksha Purnima — a day symbolizing the unbreakable bond between brothers and sisters — is celebrated in most households in the traditional way. However, there is one family here who chose to step outside their home and mark the occasion in a unique style.
Today, on the occasion of Raksha Purnima, the family of Pramod Das celebrated this holy festival with great joy and enthusiasm at the premises of Maa Brahman Dei Temple in Kotpad. Sisters from Nabarangpur and Jeypore had also come to join the occasion. In particular, Pramod Das’s three daughters and his only son were present, along with Sagar Das and his three sisters, tying rakhis together in a rare and heartwarming scene.
Also present were maternal uncle Shyam Rath and his family. The Das family’s distinctive way of celebrating Raksha Purnima at the Brahman Dei Temple drew admiration from various dignitaries. It was observed that they received high praise in the Mohal Hall for their unique celebration.
