Kotpad : The condition of road s and public pathways has become extremely deplorable. Discussions held during the Kotpad Block Sarpanch Association’s monthly meeting revealed growing dissatisfaction among members regarding incomplete development work.
It was noted that while projects are being shown as completed on paper, the ground reality tells a different story. Roads remain in poor condition, and basic infrastructure work appears abandoned.
In the meeting, several sarpanch members such as Kamala Pujari (Secretary), Majhi, Guni Tu Pujari, Bala Mati Satna, Purba Pujari, and Malmati Pujari were present. Concerns were raised about certain individuals being involved in misappropriation or corruption.
Despite the seriousness of these issues, no responsible officials have been seen visiting the affected areas. Some members merely sign the attendance register and leave without participating in discussions.
Although district administration guidelines require full participation and accountability, this meeting highlighted clear deviations from those expectations. The matter is being escalated to higher authorities for further investigation.
