Koshal State Coordination Committee Holds Meeting in Jharsuguda

Jharsuguda, 22nd Aug 2025:  A meeting of the Koshal State Coordination Committee was held at the Old Dak Bungalow in Jharsuguda, under the chairmanship of senior Koshal leader and advocate Narayan Mohapatra.

In the meeting, it was resolved to intensify the demand for a separate Koshal State. It was decided that all possible organizations in the district will be involved to prepare a broad-based movement for this cause.

Gauri Shankar Tanti was appointed as the Jharsuguda District Coordinator.

Nobel Sharma was appointed as the Jharsuguda Town Coordinator.

Narayan Agrawal was appointed as the Brajarajnagar Town Coordinator.

Leaders and representatives from Koshal Kranti Dal, Koshal Sena, and the Coordination Committee participated in the meeting, including Ganesh Matari, Bikash Rohidas, senior farmers’ leader Surendra Sahu, Basant Panda, Santosh Panigrahi, Sanjeev Gupta, Uttam Ran Bida, Pramod Raut, Ritesh Sharma, youth leader Lambodar Patel, and veteran activist Mayaram Barla, among others.

It was further decided that in the next meeting, a comprehensive organizational structure will be finalized. Plans were also made to organize a major cultural platform in Jharsuguda, such as a Western Odisha-level Nuakhai gathering.
