Borigumma , 29th Sept 2025: The results of the Odisha Civil Services Examination were published on Friday. Students from the four districts of the undivided Koraput have made a significant mark in the examination. According to available information at the time of writing this report, more than 15 candidates from these districts have cleared the exam and qualified to serve the state of Odisha. The success of the candidates from Koraput has created a wave of happiness across the region.
In Borigumma town, Vishal Dev Jani, son of late Tankadhar Jani, has cleared the civil services examination with an impressive 326th rank. After completing his primary education from DAV School, Borigumma, and further schooling at Deepti Convent School, Jeypore, he worked as a guest lecturer at Modern Degree College, Barengaput, Nabarangpur while preparing for the exam. He gives credit for his success to his mother, elder brother Sandeep Jani, and God.
Similarly, Gautam Pradhan, son of Purnachandra Pradhan from Maria Marg, Borigumma, has also cleared the exam successfully. Shubhashweta Maharana, wife of Bhabani Shankar Padhi and resident of Borigumma, secured the 164th rank. The success of these three candidates from Borigumma has made the local people proud. All of them have stated they will prioritize public service as a result of their hard work.
From Semiliguda, Abhishek, son of Bhagaban Petia, secured the 365th rank. He began his education at Jeevanjyoti Convent School and later studied at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Lanjiguda. He then pursued further studies at Sri Chaitanya, Visakhapatnam, and received coaching from Lakshman Nayak Coaching Centre in Semiliguda. His family and locals have expressed great joy at his success.
From Kashipur block, Parikshit Majhi of Kanjakana village under Renga Panchayat has qualified for OAS. He is currently working as a teacher at Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya in Kolnara. Congratulations have poured in from various quarters for his success.
Laluja Sethi, wife of Rashmiranjan Samal, the senior health officer at Bandhugaon Health Centre, has secured 241st rank in the Odisha Administrative Service examination in her second attempt. Her husband has served as a doctor in Bandhugaon block for four years. She studied through online methods while staying at home. She stated she will sincerely fulfill whatever responsibilities are given to her by the government. Many dignitaries, including MLA Pavitra Sounta, District Council Chairperson Sasmita Meleka, Block Chairperson Laxmi Miniaka, and Koraput Health Officer, have extended their best wishes to her.
From Kotpad, Pradeep Bhatra has brought pride by securing 363rd rank in the OAS exam. Coming from a poor tribal family, his success has spread happiness among the tribal community.
From Malkangiri, Pritam Duruka, son of Praveen Turuka and Sanyukta Turuka, secured 364th rank. From a young age, he dreamed of becoming an administrative officer. His father is a constable in the police department. After completing his schooling and college in Malkangiri, he moved to Bhubaneswar for OAS preparation. After the results were published, joy and pride spread among his family, friends, and the local community.
From Rayagada, Tanisa Behura, daughter of Dilip Kumar Behura and Nibedita Behura, achieved 26th rank in the OCS exam. She passed 10th grade from Sacred Heart School and completed +2 Science with first division from ODM School, Bhubaneswar. Later, she graduated with first class from BJB Autonomous College. Tanisa credited her success to her parents and teachers.
Asif Khan from Padia block, son of a farmer, has secured 117th rank. He was inspired by his mother and sister to pursue his education.
From the Gunupur region, Himalaya Sabar achieved 385th rank, Lipsa Gamang from Rayagada secured 392nd rank, Maheshwar Palka ranked 271st, Ashish Sabar got 355th rank, and Dhirendra Kondagari ranked 328th in the OAS examination.
