Koraput, 7th Aug 2025: A district-level integrated public grievance hearing was conducted by Koraput Collector Shri Manoj Satyaban Mahajan at the conference hall of the Kundra Block Office.
Among the dignitaries on the dais were Koraput SP Shri Rohit Verma, Zilla Parishad Rural Development Officer Benudhar Sabar, Jeypore Sub-Collector Kumari Akabaram Shasya Reddy, Block Chairperson Rajeshwari Paraja, and others including Group Development Officer, Tahasildar Binod Kumar Nayak, Zilla Parishad Vice-Chairperson Radha Binod Samantray, ZP member Kanaklata Penthia, District Welfare Officer Sunil Kumar Tandi, Executive Engineer of the Lift Irrigation Project Jugal Kishore Takri, and TPCODL SDO Sandeep Kumar Pattnaik. Officials from various departments at the district, sub-division, and block levels, along with all Sarpanches and Samiti members, were present.
The Collector instructed that all grievances be submitted to him in writing. Following the public hearing, he issued directives to resolve the issues promptly. A total of 50 grievances were received — 29 group-based and 21 individual complaints.
The Collector ordered all departmental officers to ensure swift resolution of the complaints. For issues that cannot be resolved immediately, necessary actions would be taken accordingly.
As part of the Mission Shakti initiative, the Collector handed over loan cheques worth ₹1 crore 48 lakh 50 thousand to 32 Self Help Groups (SHGs) from the block. In addition, 11 SHG management committee members from various panchayats of the block received their cheques, as confirmed by BPC (Block Program Coordinator) Binod Kumar Bishoyi.
