Kolnara: Under the aegis of the Kolnara Cluster Health Centre, National Safe Motherhood Day was observed in Antamada village of Dunduli Panchayat. During the event, activities like bangle wearing, mehendi application, and alta decoration were organized for pregnant and postpartum women, alongside awareness sessions on safe motherhood practices.
The program was presided over by Dunduli Sarpanch Sabita Pedenti. Ward member Putuna Himirika attended as a guest. Kshirabdi Tanaya Dash, a female health worker from Dunduli Health Sub-Centre, delivered a detailed discussion on safe motherhood. ASHA worker Hemanti Huika and Anganwadi worker Pooja Himirika were also present.
The event was conducted by Subhashree Das, Public Health Extension Officer of the Kolnara Cluster Health Centre. Over 35 pregnant and postpartum women participated in the program.
