Kotpad Dec, 15: The block-level paddy procurement market for the current Kharif season has been inaugurated this year. sunday the paddy mandi was formally inaugurated with Kotpad MLA Rupu Bhatara as the chief guest. Among others present were former MLA Chandrasekhar Majhi, district-level mandi member Ganesh Panda, Block Chairperson Kamala Bhatara, Vice-Chairperson Tapan Panigrahi, the Chairman, Vice-Chairman and members of the LAMPS (Large Area Multi-Purpose Cooperative Society), all sarpanches, respected local dignitaries, senior RMC officials, farmers from across Kotpad block, and all staff members of Kotpad LAMPS, who attended and extended their full cooperation.
The program was conducted under the leadership of the Managing Director of Kotpad LAMPS. Rajendra Nayak and Babula Pattan specifically raised issues regarding problems such as the non-availability of weighing, shortages, and the lack of proper measurement, as well as the fact that some farmers had not received tokens. Due to these issues, dissatisfaction was observed among the farmers present at today’s mandi.
Addressing the gathering, the chief guest and Kotpad MLA Rupu Bhatara assured the farmers in his speech that they would be given full cooperation and that their problems would be addressed.
