Kesaribeda Regional Resource Center Hosts Centralized Children’s Festival ‘Surabhi’

Nabarangpur, 23rd Oct 2025:  The one-day children’s festival “Surabhi” was successfully conducted at Adambar in Kesaribeda under Umarakot block. The program was organized by the Regional Resource Center.

The event was inaugurated by the Center Coordinator Motiram Gand by lighting the ceremonial lamp at the premises of Taragaon Upper Primary Thomik School. The festival, held under the chairmanship of Motiram Gand, was graced by chief guest Kiawati Gand, Sarpanch of Kopena village panchayat; distinguished guests included retired group education officer Ugrasen Nayak, AEO Debendra Bag, committee member Milatti Gand, Durgacrisir Dhanujaya Rao, retired headmaster Golekh Vishwal, Sanoj Mandal, headmaster Shankar Gand, Deepak Vishwal, Bishwadeb Nayak, Sadananda Mirdha, Ghenu Shanta, Santosh Barik, Panchuram Gand, Gobardhan Bhatra, Dhaniram Bhatra, Pitambar Mali, Krishna Chandra Nayak, Sunil Padhi, Punab Gand, former sarpanch Parshuram Gand, among others.

The main speaker was S.R.G. Dhaneshwar Puhan, who spoke to the children about “My Dream Odisha,” sharing many inspiring and educational thoughts.

The festival saw the participation of over 200 students from 15 schools across senior and junior divisions. This year’s main theme of the program was “My Dream Odisha.”

Awards were presented to Rashmita Mistry as Best Teacher and Kiran Kumar Sahu as Best Educator.

The event was managed by teachers Birasing Parija, Ramchandra Samal, Bikram Sethi, Sorup Sarkar, Debaranjan Mandal, Prasannabhit Mandal, Sunil Vishwal, Visharad Vishwal, Santosh Pradhan, Samaru Bhatra, teacher Anjana Sarkar, Surekha Priyadarshini, and others who contributed significantly.

At the end, cooperative teacher Satya Shekhar Nayak offered a vote of thanks.
