Kandhamal, March, 2: A national seminar titled “Sri Krishna Consciousness and Sri Jagannath” was organized under the auspices of the Srigundicha Spiritual Trust, Odisha (Puri).
At the inaugural session, former Judge of the Supreme Court of India, Ananga Kumar Patnaik, attended as the Chief Guest. The keynote speaker was Shatrughna Panigrahi, Vice-Chancellor of Odia University.
Other distinguished guests on the dais included senior servitor Bhagaban Suar, Central GST Joint Commissioner Pradeep Kumar Subuddhi Ray, former judge Manas Mishra, senior advocate Pushkar Mahapatra, Trust Vice-President Binod Kumar Panda, and Reception Committee Vice-President Ruchimitra Jagadeb Mahapatra. The program was presided over by Trust President Ashwini Kumar Das.
At the beginning, historian Madan Mohan Mahapatra outlined the objectives of the seminar, while Ms. Krishna Devi delivered the welcome address.
On this occasion, eminent Kandhamal poet Nrusingha Nanda Mahapatra was felicitated by the Srigundicha Spiritual Trust. His book “Bhanga Neelara Pakshi” and “Upanayana Samhita” authored by Pandit Rajanikanta Tripathi were formally released by the guests. The Trust’s national special issue “Srigundicha” was also unveiled during the event.
Child Odissi dancer Debasmita Pradhan and several other literary talents were honored at the function. In the end, Trust Secretary Lakshmi Narayan Ray Patnaik delivered the vote of thanks.
Following the recognition of the Kandhamal poet, a wave of joy spread across the local region.
