Phulbani : Tuesday marked the third day of the Kandhamal Baishakhi Festival and Trade Fair, filled with vibrant celebrations. On this occasion, the chief guest was P.A., ITDA Gadhadhar Patra, and the honored guests included Bar Association President Chandra Sekhar Parida and senior lawyer and BJP leader Bhagaban Mohanty.
They highlighted that this 12-day-long fair not only showcases Kandhamal’s rich art, culture, and traditions to the public but also plays a vital role in encouraging and promoting new talents.
The event was coordinated by organizing committee chairman and senior journalist Sunil Pattnaik, vice-chairman Radhamohan Mahapatra, and vice-president Sujit Behera. The chief and honored guests were felicitated with bouquets, traditional mementos, and commemorative gifts.
The performances by a new dance group and artists from Baliguda’s Vanavasi Seva Samiti mesmerized the audience with their captivating dances. Chief guest Patra and honored guests Mr. Mohanty and Mr. Parida presented certificates of honor and commemorative trophies to both performance groups.
The fair will continue until the 8th of May.
