Khandapada: The Kalbaisakhi (pre-monsoon storm) caused heavy rain and strong winds in Khandapada and surrounding areas. The strong winds led to the breaking of numerous tree branches, which fell onto roads and houses. Some tree branches also fell onto high-power electric wires, leading to widespread power outages. Due to the hour-long power cuts, electricity consumers in the Khandapada region faced significant disruptions.

To restore power services, employees from the electricity distribution company were seen busy repairing and reassembling electric wires and poles across various locations. Additionally, the storm caused significant damage to kacha (thatched) houses in the rural areas, with many homes being affected.
