Nabarangpur, Jan, 01:   The 8th District-Level Junior Red Cross Education and Training Camp was organized by the District Education Department of Nabarangpur. More than 600 students participated in the camp, gaining knowledge about the qualities needed to become responsible citizens in the future. The camp was held at a Government Higher Secondary School in the Kosagumuda block, and on the final day, Group Education Officer Samarendra Bhowmik hoisted the Red Cross flag.

The camp was organized under the guidance of College Principal Pavitra Haldar, along with Red Cross editor Prabhat Pattnayak, District Red Cross Officer Prakashini Nalini Kant Patra, and all other counselors and junior participants. After a multi-faith prayer, the training camp was formally inaugurated.

All participants were taken on a Red Cross awareness rally along the main road of Kosagumuda, carrying placards. Later, they conducted cleanliness drives along the roadside, in hospitals, and in school premises. The training program was inaugurated by District Red Cross Officer Prakashini Chaudhuri, and all juniors received training in primary first aid. A handicraft exhibition was also organized on the occasion.
In the afternoon, a quiz competition was conducted as part of the celebration. The celebration ceremony was presided over by the District Education Officer Chhatrapati Sahu and the Red Cross President.

Distinguished guests included Block Vice President Jogendra Swain, Representative of Mass Education Minister Kunj Bihari Dash, Video Official Ashish Tripathy, Group Education Officer Samarendra Bhowmik, Red Cross Editor Prabhat Pattnayak, District Red Cross Officer Prakashini Chaudhuri, and Higher Secondary School Principal Pavitra Haldar, who were seated on the dais.

During the program, awards were distributed to students who excelled in various competitions. A blood donation camp was also organized on the occasion, where 36 units of blood were collected. The event was managed by Nalini Kant Patra.
