Semiliguda, 6th Aug 2025: Lakshmi Sakia of Sakiaguda village under Semiliguda block has successfully cleared the Odisha Information Service (OIS) examination conducted by the Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC).
Lakshmi holds a postgraduate degree in Journalism and Mass Communication from Central University of Koraput. She worked for over two years as a journalist with a reputed newspaper in Odisha, regularly reporting on issues affecting Koraput district.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, her dedicated field reporting gained wide attention. In the recently declared OIS exam results published last Thursday, Lakshmi achieved success and qualified for the prestigious service.
Lakshmi credits her success to her father Gurunath Sakia, mother Gaurimani Sakia, elder brother Hari Sakia, elder sister Mamata Sakia, and younger brother Gopal Sakia, acknowledging their vital roles in her journey.
Following the announcement of her success, she has been receiving widespread congratulatory messages from various quarters.
