Nandapur, Dec, 20: At the Raniduduma परिसर, a tourist destination in Nandapur of Koraput district, the process has begun on Tuesday to make arrangements for parking space and other ancillary facilities for tourists ahead of the Christmas holidays and the New Year.
On Monday, a joint inspection was conducted to identify the required land. The inspection was carried out in the presence of Nandapur Revenue Department Supervisor Somanath Muduli, Revenue Inspector Madhusudan Khemundu, FRA Coordinator Madhu Babu, Forester Gopinath Pangi, Nandapur Police Station Officer-in-Charge Mamata Panda, and members of the Tourism Development Council. Along with the land inspection, road repair work was also initiated using a JCB.
It was found that among the forest block land within the परिसर, some people have been granted land titles (patta) in accordance with the FRA rules, while most of the land is under encroachment. It has been decided that the land will be re-inspected in the presence of the Nandapur Tahsildar, BDO, Semiliguda Ranger, Nandapur Forester, and police officials.
The officials present informed that discussions will be held with FRA patta holders and three encroachers, and further action will be taken accordingly.
