Joint Public Grievance Hearing Held at Laikera Under the Leadership of District Collector to Address Citizens’ Issues

Jharsuguda:Mar, 30: A joint public grievance hearing camp was held today at the grievance cell of Laikera Block Office under the chairmanship of District Collector Kunal Motiram Chavan.
On this occasion, the District Collector advised departmental officials to take public grievances seriously. A total of 36 petitions were received during the camp, out of which 24 were individual issues and 12 were related to group concerns.

The complaints mainly included land disputes, assistance for persons with disabilities, and disruptions in electricity services during the ongoing heatwave. Taking the severe summer conditions into account, the Collector directed officials to be more proactive at the पंचायत (panchayat) level to ensure public convenience.

He emphasized that there should be no negligence in the supply of drinking water and healthcare services, and urged officials to remain alert in these areas.

In this context, financial assistance of ₹10,000 each was provided to two beneficiaries from the Red Cross fund.

The hearing was attended by Superintendent of Police G.R. Raghavendra, Sub-Collector Sabyasachi Panda, Laikera BDO George Dungdung, along with other district-level officials, who listened to and addressed the grievances of the public.
