Joint Public Grievance Hearing Camp Held at Umerkote Under the Chairmanship of Additional District Magistrate and Superintendent of Police

Nabarangpur:Jan 27:A public grievance hearing camp was held today at the Umerkote Municipality Conference Hall under the joint chairmanship of Additional District Magistrate (Revenue) Bishwajit Barman and Superintendent of Police Sandeep Sampad Madkar.

On this occasion, Hon’ble School and Mass Education Minister Shri Nityananda Gond visited the grievance hearing camp. He interacted with persons with disabilities, encouraged them, and distributed wheelchairs to five beneficiaries. He also spent time with differently-abled persons who were awaiting measurement and fitting for artificial limbs.

Chief Development Officer-cum-Executive Officer Biranchi Narayan Darwan, BDO Manoj Kumar Meher, along with all district-level departmental officers, were present at the camp.

A total of 29 applicants submitted their grievance petitions during the camp. Out of these, 16 were related to individual issues and 13 concerned rural and collective/community issues.

From the Social Security Department, five wheelchairs were distributed to identified persons with disabilities, and approval was granted for providing artificial limbs to nine physically challenged individuals. Additionally, steps were taken to provide 26 injured and disabled patients with better medical treatment, pain management, and rehabilitation at advanced rehabilitation centres.
