Nabarangpur:Jan 29: A Joint Public Grievance Hearing Camp was held today at the Umerkote Municipality Conference Hall under the joint chairmanship of Additional District Magistrate (Revenue) Bishwajit Barman and Superintendent of Police Sandeep Sampad Madkar.
On this occasion, Hon’ble Minister for School & Mass Education, Shri Nityananda Gond, visited the grievance hearing camp. He interacted with persons with disabilities (Divyangs), encouraged them, and distributed wheelchairs to five beneficiaries. The Minister also spent time with Divyang individuals who were awaiting measurement and assessment for artificial limbs.
Among others present at the camp were Chief Development Officer-cum-Executive Officer Biranchi Narayan Darwan, BDO Manoj Kumar Meher, and all district-level departmental officers.
During the grievance hearing camp, a total of 29 applicants submitted their petitions. Of these, 16 were related to individual grievances, while 13 concerned village-level and collective issues.
From the Social Security Department, five wheelchairs were distributed to identified Divyang beneficiaries. Approval was also granted for providing artificial limbs to nine physically disabled persons. Additionally, steps were taken to ensure that 26 injured and physically challenged patients receive improved physical treatment and pain management at advanced rehabilitation centers.
