Umerkote, 19th Nov 2025: The Umerkote Premier League, which started on the 7th, concluded today. On the final day, a match was played between two teams from Western Odisha — Sundargarh H Da Bull and Jharsuguda Little Star. Winning the toss, Little Star chose to bat first. In the allotted 20 overs, they scored 178 runs.
In reply, Sundargarh H Da Bull, chasing a target of 179 runs, lost all their wickets and managed to score 115 runs in 16.2 overs.
In today’s closing ceremony, School & Mass Education Minister Nityananda Gond attended as the chief guest. Distinguished guests included film actor and Digapahandi MLA Siddhant Mahapatra, Nabarangpur MLA Gauri Majhi, Jharigam MLA Narsingh Bhatra, MP representative Ram Nayak, Minister’s representative Ashok Kumar Padhi, and others.
The champion team Jharsuguda was awarded ₹2,00,001 and a trophy, while the runners-up Sundargarh H Da Bull received ₹1,50,001 and a trophy.
The Player of the Tournament award was given to J.D. from Jharsuguda, along with ₹25,000 and a trophy.
The Best Batsman award went to Raja Kusum of Jharsuguda, who received ₹5,000, and the Best Bowler award was given to Muna Manas of Jharsuguda, who also received ₹5,000.
