Umerkote, 18th Nov 2025:  The final match of the Umerkote Premier League (UPL) concluded on Sunday at the Biju Patnaik Stadium in Umerkote. Jharsuguda team became the champion, defeating Sundargarh.

Jharsuguda batted first and scored 178 runs in 20 overs before getting all out. Varun Kumar scored the highest 48 runs, while Sundargarh’s Saubhagya Raut took 3 wickets.

While chasing, Sundargarh managed to score 115 runs in 16.2 overs and were all out. Sandeep Pattanaik scored the highest 51 runs for the team. For Jharsuguda, Muna Manas and JD took 3 wickets each.
JD was awarded Man of the Match, and Jharsuguda’s Raja Kusum was awarded Man of the Series. Abhijit Bal and Bablu served as umpires.

In the award distribution ceremony, the School & Mass Education Minister, Nityananda Gond, attended as the chief guest.

On this occasion, UPL also honored police personnel, media representatives, sweepers, volunteers, and umpires for their contribution.
