Jeypore, 17th July 2025: Jeypore athletes have brought glory by winning 16 medals, including 7 gold, in the Inter-District Armature Kickboxing Championship held in Angul. A total of 13 players from the town participated in the event and delivered outstanding performances.
According to Sammad Habib, the coach of the Indian Ultimate Fight Club, the competition was held from 11th to 13th July at the Table Tennis Indoor Ground in Angul. The event was organized by the State Department of Sports and Youth Services in collaboration with the State Armature Kickboxing Federation.
From the local Ultimate Fight Club, 13 players took part in various categories. Turin Khosla won 2 gold medals, while Rahul Pattnayak, Bijay Sahu, Rihan Khan, Sheikh Sahebaj Hussain, and Ranjit Kumar each secured 1 gold medal.
Abhishek Dash and Manas Nayak won 1 silver medal each.
The 7 bronze medalists include Mohit Yadav, Sheikh Sahebaj Hussain, Abhishek Dash, K. Bahulya, Rihan Ali, and Avyan Mishra, among others.
Among them, Mohit Yadav stood out by winning 2 medals.
The performance of the Jeypore team has been widely appreciated, and their success has brought pride to the region.
