Jeypore Resonates with Devotion Amid Ram Mandir Consecration Festivities

Jeypore: The entire Jeypore city in Koraput district was filled with spiritual fervor today as devotees celebrated the consecration (Prana Pratistha) of Lord Ram’s idol and statue with a grand Vijay Shobha Yatra (victory procession).

The event commenced from the premises of the Jhankad Devi Temple located in Parabeda area of Jaypur and proceeded towards the Raghunath Temple. Thousands of people participated in this massive procession.

As chants of “Ek Hi Nara, Ek Hi Naam — Jai Shri Ram, Jai Shri Ram” echoed through the air, the entire city reverberated with devotion. Uplifted by devotional Ram bhajans and kirtans, people danced in unison, adding vibrant colors and energy to the already grand celebration.

This occasion marked a historic moment after 500 years, as the consecration ceremony of the Ram Temple at Lord Ram’s birthplace in Ayodhya was held today. People across Jaypur were filled with a deep sense of devotion and enthusiasm.

From youth to elderly, everyone adorned saffron attire, swaying to spiritual songs dedicated to Lord Ram, expressing their devotion wholeheartedly.

As part of the celebrations, the Ashutosh Memorial Trust had invited five kirtan troupes, which performed devotional music throughout the event. Prasad (sacred offerings) was distributed at various temple premises across Jaypur.

Several leaders from different political parties, along with thousands of Lord Ram devotees, were present during this spiritually significant event.
