Jeypore, 4th Nov 2025: Cyber security awareness programs are being conducted across the state. On this occasion, the Jeypore Police organized a Cyber Security Awareness Program at Jeypore.
The program was attended by Jeypore Sub-Collector A. Sashya Reddy, SDPO Partha Kashyap, Town Police Station IIC Ullas Chandra Raut, and Sadar Police Station IIC Sachindra Pradhan.
Senior citizens of Jeypore, along with students from various schools and colleges, participated in the program. The participants were made aware of different aspects of cyber safety. Awareness was also created through various cultural performances such as songs and dances, highlighting the importance of cyber security.
Officials informed that cyber fraudsters are now adopting various new methods to cheat people. Citizens were advised to:
- Keep their mobile passwords secure,
- Never share OTPs (One-Time Passwords) with unknown persons, and
- Avoid accepting video calls from strangers.
- People were also urged that if they become victims of cyber fraud, they should immediately report the matter to the nearest police station or the cyber police station.
