Jeypore, Jan, 20: At the 9th State-Level Stage Drama and 35th Ganjam Kala Parishad Stage Artists’ Drama Competition, the play “Ma Lo Chamber” by the Jeypore Cultural Organisation was awarded.
Written by Jagadish Adhikari and directed by Niranjan Panigrahi, the play secured second place on the Berhampur stage.
The play was managed by G. Mahesh, while Ram Nigam Mahanti provided music direction.
Suresh Hota, Panchanan Mishra, Nrusinha Sadangi, Saroj Mishra, Niranjan Panigrahi, Pabitra Mallik, Bijayalakshmi Panigrahi and Nibedan Panigrahi performed in the play.
Pabitra Mallik received the award for Best Comedian, Nrusinha Sadangi was honoured as Best Supporting Actor, and Jagadish Adhikari received the Second Best Playwright award.
The play was based on the tragic story of Kotia and the struggles of its residents and lawyers.
Artists and art lovers of Jeypore congratulated the successful performers.
