Khaira: A leading voluntary organization, Janahita Yuvak Sangha, extended its support for a funeral. On 16/04/2025, the prominent voluntary organization based in Khaira, Baleswar district, Janahita Yuvak Sangha—known for its prompt assistance in areas like sanitation drives, house fires, cyclones, marriages, and medical emergencies—stepped up once again.

A tragic incident occurred in Sujagada village under Sarakona Panchayat of Khaira Block, where 30-year-old Tapan Patra suddenly passed away while working. He is survived by his widow, a young child, and elderly parents. Due to the family’s poor financial condition, locals appealed to the organization for help with the funeral rites.

Responding swiftly, a five-member team from the Sangha visited Tapan’s house and provided ration items, drinking water, and some financial aid. The team included President Suresh Raut, Advisor Sukantimani Sahu, Kunjalata Mahanti, senior member Ravindra Maharana, and Abhishek Gupta.

Locals praised this noble initiative of the organization. The Sangha’s General Secretary Prahlad Dhal and Working President Santosh Hati informed the media that they would continue to extend support to the helpless in the future.
