Jagannath Express Now Connects Chandahandi and Jharigaon to Brahmapur

Brahmapur A new bus named Jagannath Express has started operating from Chandahandi and Jharigaon to Brahmapur. This is set to benefit the residents of both blocks. A Volvo bus has been launched from Jharigaon block headquarters to Brahmapur. The bus departs from Jharigaon at 6:30 PM and travels via Jaypur, Rayagada, and Digapahandi, reaching Brahmapur by 5:00 AM the next morning.

It then departs from Brahmapur at 6:00 PM for Chandahandi and is scheduled to reach Jharigaon by 6:00 AM the following day. This is great news for the hundreds of families residing in the Chandahandi and Jharigaon blocks of Ganjam district. This new service offers a convenient travel option for those heading to Brahmapur for various needs, including health services at MKCG Medical College.

The inaugural journey of the bus took place last evening. On the first day, many dignitaries were present at the launch event at the Jharigaon bus stand, including MP representative Chandrabhanu Nayak, youth social workers Abhisek Nanda, Prafulla Pradhan, Girish Panda, Sudam Tiwari, Biki Rath, Bishwajit Nayak, Ganapati Sahu, and Chaitanya Nadia. A traditional coconut-breaking ritual and prayers were held during the ceremony.

All seats were filled on the first day itself. Additionally, half-ticket fares are available for women, and tickets can also be booked online. The launch of this new Volvo bus has generated a great deal of excitement among the public of both Jharigaon and Chandahandi.
