Kakatpur: Kakatpur Assembly Constituency in Odisha has long been known as a stronghold of the Biju Janata Dal (BJD), consistently electing BJD candidates to the state assembly. Even after the BJP came to power in the state, Tusharkanti Behera was re-elected as a BJD MLA from this constituency.
Now, with the BJP focusing on strengthening its base at the grassroots level, efforts are being made to reclaim constituencies like Kakatpur. As part of this, senior grassroots workers are being entrusted with responsibilities to build the organization stronger.
In this regard, Ishwar Chandra Behera, a senior BJP worker and key organizer widely regarded as the Bhishma Pitamah of the BJP in Kakatpur, has been nominated to the BJP National Council. This nomination has sparked a wave of celebration among local party workers, who have extended their heartfelt congratulations to the state and central leadership of the party.
Mr. Behera was formally felicitated during a state-level program by:
Sudarsan Swain, MP representative of Jagatsinghpur
Shridhar Nayak, President of Kakatpur Block BJP
Kailash Chandra Nayak, BJP MP representative from Kakatpur Block
Tapan Kumar Das, MP representative
Kshirod Kumar Dalai
as well as all Mandal Presidents and MP representatives from the Kakatpur Assembly Constituency.
They welcomed and congratulated Mr. Behera, expressing confidence that his appointment will significantly contribute to strengthening the BJP’s organizational structure in Kakatpur. They also expressed hope that under his leadership, BJP will soon win the Kakatpur Assembly seat, sending a BJP MLA to the state legislature.
Furthermore, they believe that this development will positively impact the upcoming Panchayat elections, bringing fruitful results for the party.
