Rayagada: The 11th International Yoga Day was celebrated at Rayagada Autonomous College with the theme “One Earth, One Health through Yoga.” On this occasion, the college principal and yoga trainer, Dr. Saraswati Ray, highlighted the significance of yoga in promoting physical and mental well-being. She emphasized how yoga contributes to a healthy life and guided the students and participants through pranayama and meditation practices.
Under her guidance, all faculty members, staff, and students of the college actively participated in various yoga postures and breathing exercises. As part of the green yoga initiative, tree plantation was also carried out on the college premises with the assistance of Mr. Satish Kumar Dhaduwa, Assistant Forest Conservator of Rayagada.
The event was successfully organized by the college’s Yoga Club, NCC, NSS, and Red Cross units. Program coordination and support were provided by P. Arun Kumar, T. Jyoti, Lt. Uday Nayak, M. Srinibas Achari, Subrata Pradhan, Prashant Kumar Sahu, Bhaves Mahanti, Monalisa Panigrahi, and Truptimayee Bhoi.
