Bhadrak: “Women today have surpassed men in many fields and have reached the pinnacle of success. From flying fighter jets to leading businesses, they have excelled in every sector. Women have also made remarkable achievements in arts, sculpture, and research. In all fields, women have brought pride to their families and the nation,” said speakers at an event organized by Odisha Tejaswini Sangathan at the District Culture Hall to celebrate International Women’s Day.

The event was presided over by journalist Ravinarayan Khular, the organization’s guide, while District Collector Dilip Raut Ray attended as the chief guest and inaugurated the celebration with his speech. Pandit Sangram Acharya served as the keynote speaker, with notable speakers including Professor Bhanumati Matia, Nihar Ranjan Kar (Principal of Akhandalamani College), and former Zilla Parishad Vice-Chairperson Ranjita Swain.

The organization’s president, Kalpana Jena, spoke about the purpose and significance of the day. Other prominent attendees included cultural enthusiast Preeti Rautray, Police Inspector Monalisa Kar, poet Tapaswini Mahapatra, healthcare worker Manasi Kuamr, Nirupama Dash, Sukanti Barik, Swarnalata Pati, journalist Sanyukta Mohanty, Sumati Panda, lawyer Anjubala Raut, Jaga Chakra Sangha Coordinator Suprabha Mishra, and artist Anima Pati, among many others.

Several self-help groups were also honored during the event.
