Papdahandi, Like every year, the world is observing International Forest Day on March 21, with various initiatives being drafted to protect trees. Discussions are held on the importance of forests for human society. Every year, millions of trees are planted across the country, and billions of rupees are spent from the national treasury on forest conservation and afforestation.
However, in reality, much of this money is merely recorded on paper, while corrupt officials misappropriate funds under the guise of afforestation programs. This is a grave danger to human society. If we continue to deceive nature, a time will come when nature punishes us all.
If the billions of rupees spent each year by the government were genuinely used for creating and protecting forests, then villages, districts, states, nations, and the entire world would have been covered with trees, leaving no empty space for further plantations.
Therefore, all aware citizens are urged to plant trees on vacant land near their homes or on government land. By doing so, we can secure the environment and ensure a safer future for the coming generations.
