Keonjhar, Jan, 12: The government has introduced multiple schemes for farmers, with one of the biggest incentives being a paddy bonus of ₹800 per quintal. This step has boosted the morale of farmers, according to officials at Palaspanga Lamps, Keonjhar, during the auspicious start of paddy procurement.

During the first day of the Chief Minister’s visit to Keonjhar, CM Mohan Charan Majhi inaugurated the paddy procurement arrangements at Palaspanga Lamps, Keonjhar district.

Addressing a gathering of 298 farmers, the Chief Minister said that in previous years, farmers’ interest in cultivation had been declining, and many were reluctant to continue farming. However, this year, the scenario is completely different, showing renewed enthusiasm among the farming community.

He attributed this positive change to the government’s proactive leadership and initiatives in Odisha, including schemes that recognize and reward farmers’ hard work and dedication. Under the CM Agriculture Scheme, farmers receiving subsidies will also receive a personal visit and acknowledgment from the Chief Minister at their homes.
This approach reflects the government’s commitment to supporting farmers and valuing their contribution to agriculture.
