Chandipur,19th July 2025: A successful test of the Prithvi-II ballistic missile was conducted from Launch Pad No. 3 at the missile testing range in Chandipur, Odisha. The test was carried out as part of routine training and validation exercises under the Strategic Forces Command to assess the reliability and operational readiness of India’s missile arsenal.
The missile was launched from Dr. Abdul Kalam Island, formerly known as Wheeler Island, which serves as a key site for testing India’s strategic and tactical missile systems.
