Kotpad An independent meeting regarding the state government’s “Bikashit Gaon, Bikashit Odisha” (Developed Village, Developed Odisha) project was held in the premises of Kotpad Block under the chairmanship of Block Chairperson Kamala Bhatra.
Present at the program were Rameshwar Jena, representative of the Nabarangpur MP, Binayak Acharya, representative of the MLA, Block BDO Bikram Kumar Dora, Block Vice-Chairperson Tapan Panigrahi, Zilla Parishad member Geeta Majhi, Tripati Chalan, and other dignitaries.
In today’s meeting, according to government guidelines, presentations were made regarding the 2025–26 fiscal budget, with special focus on sectors like education, transportation, health, and community facilities such as Bhagabat Tungi and Kalyan Mandap (welfare halls).
These guidelines and presentations were made in the presence of all committee members, PEOs, Sarpanchs, and officials from various departments. BDO Dora announced that after final collection and review of all proposed projects, work will commence very soon with effective implementation.
Particularly, in today’s meeting, a proposal for the construction of an independent Kalyan Mandap at the district level was presented. The locations selected for this purpose include:
Brahmandei Mandir side of Girla Panchayat
Chandili in Chandili Panchayat
Bobeya in Bobeya Panchayat
It was declared by the BDO and Vice-Chairperson in front of the media that one of these panchayats will be finalized for the project, and work will begin very shortly.
