Bhubaneswar, 8th Aug 2025: The state is expected to experience continuous rainfall until August 11, according to weather forecasts. There is a high chance of heavy rain accompanied by lightning and thunderstorms in many parts. Some districts in North Odisha may see light to moderate showers. Yellow warning has been issued for three districts today — Keonjhar, Sundargarh, and Mayurbhanj — due to expected heavy rainfall and thunderstorms. For tomorrow, a yellow alert has been extended to 20 districts, including the likelihood of heavy rain in Keonjhar, Sundargarh, and Sambalpur. Residents are advised to remain alert and take necessary precautions during this period.
