IMD DG Predicts Above-Average Rainfall in June Amidst Monsoon Revival

Bhubaneswar: Information from IMD Director General Mrutyunjay Mohapatra regarding monsoon  rainfall  Forecast indicates above-normal rainfall in the month of June June rainfall is expected to be 106% of the Long Period Average (LPA) Pre-monsoon rainfall has been above normal  The country witnessed above-normal rainfall in May Except for the northeastern states, most regions received more than normal rainfall Monsoon entered Kerala 8 days earlier than usual Monsoon has also advanced into South India and Maharashtra Weather conditions across the country are favorable for monsoon progression
