Baipariguda: Manjuri Khara (49), wife of Huilsen Khara from the Christian Sahi of Baipariguda town, is currently undergoing treatment for stomach cancer at Bagchi Hospital in Bhubaneswar. Her treatment requires more than a lakh rupees, all of which has already been spent on earlier medical care, leaving the family in severe financial distress.
Huilsen, who belongs to a poor family and works as a tailor in Baipariguda when he can find work, has made a heartfelt appeal for financial assistance to help continue his wife’s treatment. Six months ago, Manjuri began experiencing abdominal pain. Initially, she was admitted to Usha Medical in Jeypore, but since the cause was not diagnosed there, she was later taken to Koraput Medical College. When no improvement was seen, she was shifted to a private hospital in Visakhapatnam, where it was confirmed that she had stomach cancer.
Due to the high cost of treatment there, she was finally moved to Bagchi Hospital in Bhubaneswar. However, all their funds have been exhausted by traveling and paying for medical expenses, and now they are desperately seeking help from the government, NGOs, and generous individuals.
They have also shared their bank account number (33320407177) and PhonePe number (8280420349) on social media to appeal for financial aid
