Jharsuguda, 22nd Oct 2025: An awareness program by the Bharatiya Manav Adhikar Council (BHRC) was organized on the campus of SS Service Society, located in Jharsuguda district. The program was held under the supervision of Ashok Mallik, Odisha State Human Rights Legal Advisor, and through the initiative of Dhananjay Kumar, Jharsuguda District President of BHRC.

These dignitaries addressed the audience on the importance of fundamental human rights, emphasizing that every Indian citizen has the right to live with dignity, wear decent clothing, walk on good roads, study in quality schools, and live with self-respect and equality.
The program aimed to raise public awareness about such rights and to encourage citizens to be informed and proactive about protecting their own and others’ rights.

Many members of the Human Rights Council from different regions joined and participated in the program.
The event was coordinated by Dileswar Bag with the support of Lakshman Tandia, Ravi Raut, Hemant Munda, Tirthabasi Munda, and Ramkumar Munda.
Dr. Purna Chandra Sahu reiterated that living with dignity, freedom, and access to basic facilities is a fundamental right of every human being. The event helped foster greater public consciousness and responsibility around human rights issues in the region.
