Bhubaneswar, Jan 30:The first phase of the Census survey will begin in the state from April 16 and continue for one month until May 15. During this period, officials will conduct door-to-door visits to complete the house listing and survey process. A notification in this regard has been issued by the Revenue and Disaster Management Department.
As part of the exercise, census officials will ask citizens around 33 questions.
Although the Census operations across the country are scheduled to be conducted for any 30-day period between April 1 and September 30, it has been decided to carry out the process in the state from April 16. Prior to the commencement of the field survey, individuals can voluntarily submit their complete details on the Census website between April 1 and April 15. Those who provide their information online during this period will not be required to participate in the physical survey process.
The second phase of the Census is scheduled to be conducted next year from February 9 to February 28.
