Honest Act in Nabarangpur: Four Lost Mobile Phones Returned to Owners

Nabarangpur, 26th July 2025: Four students of the Nabarangpur Nursing College — Pujashree Pattnaik, Rupalika Nayak, Pramila Harijan, and Subhadra Bhandari — had lost their mobile phones on the 16th of this month. Today, they have recovered their respective phones.

According to reports, on the 16th, Dhanardhan Mandal had visited the Nabarangpur Nursing College located at Majhiguda to inquire about B.Sc. Nursing admission for his daughter. As per college rules, students are not allowed to carry mobile phones during class. So, the students had planned to keep their phones inside the storage compartment (dickey) of Pujashree Pattnaik’s blue scooter.

However, by mistake, they placed the phones inside the dickey of Dhanardhan’s scooter, which was similar in appearance and parked nearby. After class, when they opened Pujashree’s scooter, they found the phones missing. Despite searching extensively, they could not locate them.

Later, when Dhanardhan reached Mangalam Timbers and opened his scooter’s dickey, he found four mobile phones inside.

Today, the students informed the college authorities about the missing phones. Acting on this, College Director Muna Satapathy and the Principal began verifying the names of all visitors on the day and contacted Dhanardhan. He was called to the college, where — in the presence of college staff — he returned all four phones to the students.

Both the college authorities and the students praised Dhanardhan for his honesty and humanitarian gesture.
