Kotpad, Feb 17: A panchayat-level Hindu conference was held at Batasana Panchayat under Kotpad block, organized by Hindu Jagaran Manch. It is reported that more than 4,000 Hindu brothers and sisters from around 11 villages of Batasana Panchayat gathered for the event. The program was conducted with grand rituals and a yajna (sacred fire ceremony).
At the beginning of the event, it started with a large kalash (holy water pot) procession involving thousands of participants. Notably, along with villagers from all villages of Batasana Panchayat, the Panchayat Sarpanch Parbati (name as reported), Nabina Bishoi, Nabina Gaud, Tripati Shoi, Sridhar Panda, Santosh Sira and other respected persons, women, and community members were present.
The invited guests stated that similar programs will be organized in all panchayats of the Kotpad area in the coming days.
